Sidewalk work progressing outside La Crosse Courthouse
Northbound drivers going past the La Crosse Courthouse may have noticed construction activity along 4th Street in the last week.
The sidewalk immediately outside the public entrance to the Law Enforcement Center is being rebuilt.
A large sidewalk sign will be installed, identifying the courthouse as an official county building, and a newer flagpole will be placed there.
The total cost of the project, about $50,000.
A decline in visitors to the 23-year-old law enforcement center during the virus outbreak has given the county time to improve the main public entrance at 4th and Vine.
