Ellis “Poochie” Wilson is accused of attempted murder for allegedly firing a gun at Justin Tillman two weeks ago.

In court on Friday, La Crosse Police Lt. Timothy O’Neill quoted Tillman as saying he was shot while talking about Wilson during a rap “challenge” in Wilson’s back yard on 5th Avenue.

Tillman is paralyzed from the waist down after being shot in the spine, but O’Neill says doctors think Tillman could recover some movement.

Wilson remains in the county jail under a $100,000 cash bond, and Judge Todd Bjerke has scheduled a hearing next week to consider reducing his bond.
