Two La Crosse men in federal court in separate drug cases
Two La Crosse men find themselves in federal court, for separate meth cases, with one being sentenced to prison, while the other is charged with possession.
On Wednesday, U.S. District Judge William Conley ordered Eric Sobek to spend seven years in prison for keeping meth in his car and in an Onalaska hotel room.
Drugs and weapons were found last fall in a police search of Sobek’s vehicle.
In a different case, James Dean of La Crosse is charged with possessing 50 or more grams of meth.
Dean was arrested in February after La Crosse police tried to serve a warrant on him at a Kwik Trip store.
While attempting to flee in the dark, Dean ran into a picnic table and dropped a gun.
