The man arrested on Farnam Street in La Crosse after a police chase on Tuesday is facing eight new criminal charges.

Joshua Kletzke is accused of armed robbery, attempting to flee an officer, and drug trafficking.

A criminal complaint says Kletzke stole a bag of meth from a room at the Days Inn on French Island, and then dropped it as he was leaving the building.

The bag contained 300 grams of meth.

La Crosse police saw Kletzke’s car that night, and laid out a spike strip to flatten his tires.

The spikes did deflate the tires, but Kletzke still managed to lead officers on a chase through the south side of La Crosse before he was captured.

Investigators say Kletzke called another figure in the case after the robbery, and was crying because he had lost the bag of meth.
