A Mindoro man has been charged with fleeing an officer and endangering safety, two months after a police chase in La Crosse County.

Charges were filed Friday against 22-year-old Frederick Clements, who has had eight criminal or traffic cases brought against him since the first of the year.

Investigators say Clements was followed by police on April 20th as he was speeding through a residential area of West Salem, and ran a stop sign.

The chase was called off after the pursuing officer got up to 113 miles an hour.

Clements later turned himself in, and admitted to going 120 miles an hour at one point, saying he was afraid of being charged with driving after a suspension.

He has another court hearing on June 25th.
