Spring Grove man in jail, after fatal downtown La Crosse shooting

A shooting at the Twisted Moose in downtown La Crosse has left one person dead, while the shooter is currently jailed.

Police arrested Timothy Young of Spring Grove, Minn., shortly after he had fled the scene around 1 a.m. Saturday.

The 31-one-year-old was then booked in the La Crosse County jail, charged with 1st degree homicide, according to the police’s statement.

The bar employee who was shot was put on life-support, but the young man’s family reports on social media that he has since died.

Online court records show that Young’s most recent arrest in Wisconsin was for speeding in Monroe County in April.

Young is likely to appear in court on Monday to have his bond set.
