Police deal with “La Crosse Watch Force,” after odd signs posted throughout city

You have to yell it, “NO VAGRANCY ALLOWED!!!!!!” Not just because it’s in all-caps, but also, six exclamation points.

It’s a strange sign. One that was posted throughout downtown La Crosse. Signed off: “LACROSSE WATCH FORCE.”

Police didn’t really allude to who or what that was, but that was the signature on the strange signs that somewhat threatened homeless in an odd fashion.

The signs, in all caps, with many exclamation points, and one glaring spelling error, told homeless they weren’t welcome — including at the Salvation Army, which literally has on its website, “Our door are always open.”

The sign then told the “SUSPICIOUS LOOKING PEOPLE!” they should relocate at the Village Shopping Center for some reason, which was not provided. Maybe for a haircut or a buffet? Is in-person dining open? Maybe the shopping center is “gool.” Remember gool in tag? The safe zone.

Police posted on Facebook action was taken against the individual responsible for the signs, and added that person was not affiliated with any of the businesses or organizations where the signs were posted.

The La Crosse Public Library also noted the signs outside its building and said, “We would like to remind folks that libraries are for everyone and we are proud to serve everyone in our community.”

No word on “statue” 947.01, but Wisconsin statute 947.01 states, in part, “Whoever, in a public or private place, engages in violent, abusive, indecent, profane, boisterous, unreasonably loud or otherwise disorderly conduct under circumstances in which the conduct tends to cause or provoke a disturbance is guilty of a Class B misdemeanor.”

A day ago, Rick, you wrote an incomplete sentence, a fragment, in the article on July 2, titled “Despite Cases Soaring…” On the second paragraph. Would pointing that out constitute nitpicking? Apparently not, according to you it’s newsworthy. Your bias is clearly displayed in this article because you use your position to mock while in the act of writing a news story. You should try harder to hide your bias, and realize nitpicking just makes you look bad.

Why isn’t this individual publicly outed or is he an escapee from the 5th floor?
