Alcohol and speed appear to be factors in a UTV crash that sent two people to the hospital Thursday night.

The accident happened around 10:30 p.m. on Clinton Ridge Rd. just north of Peaceful Valley Rd. in the Town of Clinton according to the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office.

Kristopher Hanson was traveling southbound on Clinton Ridge Rd. when he lost control on a corner. Hanson and his female passenger were both thrown from the UTV. Neither were wearing seat belts. Both were hurt and transported to Vernon Memorial Hospital.
