La Crosse County reports single-digit COVID-19 cases for first time since June 15
Six new cases of COVID-19 reported Monday in La Crosse County.
The county is now showing 509 total cases since reporting numbers began. That number does not coincide with the state data, which shows La Crosse at 519. The county said the state numbers are no longer up to date, as some cases were transferred in or out of the county after “disease investigation” was completed.
There are 218 active cases of county residents and one person currently hospitalized.
With no numbers coming out over the holiday, the county reported 22 cases (three Friday, seven Saturday and 12 Sunday) over the weekend.
Friday’s single-digit count was the first since since June 15. There has been 381 cases since then.
Trempealeau County reported 13 cases over the holiday and is now at 141 total, with 40 still active.
Houston (26 cases) and Winona (125) counties each have one new COVID case today. Vernon (38) and Buffalo (eight) counties reported no new cases.
