Onalaska has a new city clerk for the first time in almost two decades.

JoAnn Marcon was sworn in as clerk on Monday, succeeding retiring city clerk Cari Burmaster.

Marcon has served as deputy city clerk of Onalaska for the last four years, and worked as a paralegal for 20 years before that.

Burmaster retires after serving as clerk since 2001.
