Bond set in Crawford County child death

Bond is set at $300,000 for a Prairie du Chien man accused of causing a toddler’s death last week. 

Chase Harville faces a charge of reckless homicide, for the death of a 3-year-old boy in rural Crawford County that was reported on July 10th.

Harville was captured the same day after a manhunt north of Prairie du Chien. 

His initial appearance in the case is scheduled for July 22nd, and he’s ordered to stay away from children for now.

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. He regularly covers local courts and city and county government. Brad produces the features "Yesterday in La Crosse" and "What's Buried on Brad's Desk." He also writes the website "Triviazoids," which finds odd connections between events that happen on a certain date, and he writes and performs with the local comedy group Heart of La Crosse. Brad been featured on several national TV programs because of his memory skills.
