La Crosse Police are searching for a suspect and information after two gun-related incidents happened in the city.

The first incident started with La Crosse Police being sent to a local hospital for a person who walked into the emergency room with a gunshot wound. The victim said he was walking near 800 Main Street when he was confronted by a man with a white shirt over his face. The suspect had a gun and demanded his property.

The gunshot victim said he tried to run away when the suspect fired three rounds at him. One of those hit him in the arm. The victim told police he did not want anything done with the incident. He was treated and released from the hospital. Police said he is no longer cooperating with the investigation.

The second shooting happened in the area of 300 Pearl Street. Police were initially called for a large fight. Before arriving on the scene, dispatch said there were gunshots heard, as well.

An initial investigation showed shots were fired but nobody was hit by bullets. One person was hurt and needed medical treatment.

Jennifer Hendricks and Tyrone Johnson, of La Crosse, were charged as part of that incident. Police are looking for Walter Walker. They believe he fired the gun at the scene.

Anyone with information about either of these incidents is asked to contact the police department at 608-789-7240 or leave an anonymous tip with La Crosse Area Crime Stoppers at 608-784-TIPS or online.
