Statewide, Wisconsin recorded a single-day high 978 cases on Saturday and another 830 Sunday. There were a total of 11 deaths reported, including 10 on Saturday. That was the first time, since June 27, the state had double-digit deaths in a single day.

The death toll in Minnesota from the virus was eight over the weekend — five Saturday, three Sunday. There were 737 new confirmed cases Sunday and 457 on Saturday.
An increase in the number of completed tests accounts for some of Saturday’s increase, but not all, Minnesota Public Radio News reported.
Iowa data shows the state added 733 cases and five deaths Sunday. Health officials, however, said a significant number of tests had not been reported over the weekend due to a backlog.
