There’s still a slight possibility for a Moon Tunes concert on the La Crosse riverfront in 2020.

Perhaps just one concert, according to organizer Terry Bauer.

The coronavirus outbreak has led the Moon Tunes team to gradually cancel the June schedule, and then July, and now the August concerts that were planned for Thursday nights this summer.

Bauer holds out hope that the end of summer concert, usually a Woodstock tribute, can still happen in September.

Otherwise, he says the schedule of Moon Tunes shows planned for this year will carry over into 2021.

Bauer says the likelihood of a large audience for a show at the Riverside Park stage posed too much of a risk for COVID spread.

The August schedule was supposed to include shows by the Remainders and Mr. Blink, along with a night of tributes to Neil Diamond and Neil Young.
