Bauer proposes special Moon Tunes concert, if health conditions allow

Moon Tunes announced this week that it had cancelled the last of its scheduled concerts in La Crosse’s Riverside Park for 2020. 

But Moon Tunes spokesman Terry Bauer is floating the idea of a special concert yet this year, to mark the end of construction for the new bandshell.    

Bauer tells WIZM’s La Crosse Talk that people in the city might make a fall concert possible if they all wear masks to halt the spread of coronavirus. 

During a typical summer in La Crosse, the Moon Tunes concert series would be in the middle of its schedule of Thursday night shows, which run from June to September. 

Bauer says work continues on the bandshell, and the north bathroom in Riverside Park.

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. He regularly covers local courts and city and county government. Brad produces the features "Yesterday in La Crosse" and "What's Buried on Brad's Desk." He also writes the website "Triviazoids," which finds odd connections between events that happen on a certain date, and he writes and performs with the local comedy group Heart of La Crosse. Brad been featured on several national TV programs because of his memory skills.
