Man accused of hitting grandchild in Onalaska park, and pushing woman who confronted him
A Sparta man is accused of striking his grandchild in the head at an Onalaska park, and pushing a bystander who tried to intervene.
Curtis Ricehill allegedly hit his grandchild, a 3-year-old girl, for picking up sticks at Rowe Park in Onalaska on Friday.
Ricehill tells police he doesn’t want children to use sticks to hit people.
A woman nearby tried talking to Ricehill, but he told her to get away and called her ‘Karen.’
When she thought Ricehill might try to hit her, the woman turned to walk away, and says she was shoved in the back by Ricehill, almost falling over.
Ricehill then drove away with his family, and as they left, he reportedly yelled at the woman to ‘get the hell out of their business.’
Ricehill could get six years in prison if he’s found guilty of physically abusing the child.
