County’s weekly COVID-19 update is out, state shows 14 more cases today

A weekly look into COVID-19 in La Crosse County shows having 55 confirmed cases over the past seven days.

According to the county health department, La Crosse has a total of 1,033 cases and 49 hospitalizations through Sunday. State data shows La Crosse as having 71 cases over the past seven days, ending Sunday.

The state health department reports the county having 1,047 cases today, which means there were possibly 14 new cases today if the two departments’ data matches up.

Trempealeau County is up to 391 total cases after adding four over the weekend and four more Monday.

Monroe added one case Monday and one over the weekend. The county is at 264 total with 14 active, but none in the hospital.

Winona County added four more cases and is at 302. There were no new cases in Houston County (65 total) but one person from there is still hospitalized. 

Vernon County reported another three cases, bringing its total to 87 with 10 considered active but none hospitalized.

Buffalo added three new cases Monday and is at 54 total with two still active.

Wisconsin: 70,854 cases, 5,573 hospitalizations, 1,081 deaths
Minnesota: 70,298 cases, 6,195 hospitalizations, 1,771 deaths
Iowa: 56,948 cases, 1,047 deaths


Statewide, Wisconsin had 392 cases, 15 hospitalizations and no deaths. There were 4,473 test performed.

Minnesota reports 717 new cases, 44 hospitalizations and four deaths Monday. That was the lowest death toll in a day in the state in two weeks.

Iowa added another 471 cases and five deaths, over a 24-hour period, according to its dashboard.
