Two flown to the hospital in weekend Trempealeau Co. crash

The Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office was called to a one-vehicle accident on County Rd. CC in the town of Ettrick Saturday afternoon around 4:30.

After investigating the scene, deputies said the vehicle was heading north when the driver lost control. The vehicle crossed the center line and went into the southbound ditch. It then went airborne and rolled into a cornfield.

The passenger was ejected. The driver was partially ejected out the front windshield and had to be extricated. Both were flown from the scene for medical treatment.

The extent of the injuries and names of those involved were not released. The sheriff’s office is still investigating.

Ettrick Fire, Tri-State Ambulance, Ettrick First Responders, and Mayo One Helicopter and Mayo Two Helicopter responded.
