La Crosse County adds 17 cases, up to 1,077 total

Another 17 cases of COVID-19 in La Crosse County, according to state data.

The stats come two days after a free National Guard testing site was conducted Monday downtown.

The county has averaged 14.7 cases over the past three days, after there were 22 reported over the weekend, by the state.

The total now in La Crosse County is 1,077.

In surrounding counties, Winona reported five and is up to 315. No other county reported more than three cases — Monroe 3 (270 total), Vernon 3 (92), Buffalo 2 (58), Trempealeau 1 (407) and Houston subtracted a case that was from out of county (66).

Wisconsin: 72,260 cases, 5,651 hospitalizations, 1,100 deaths
Minnesota: 71,236 cases, 6,274 hospitalizations, 1,793 deaths
Iowa: 58,863 cases, 1,077 deaths


Statewide, Wisconsin reported another 768 cases, 41 hospitalizations and six deaths.

Minnesota reported 14 deaths. It’s the third time in two weeks the daily death toll has risen to double-digits.  The youngest person in Wednesday’s list was in their early 30s. The state also reported another 542 new cases and 36 hospitalizations.  

Several Minnesota school districts reportedly have put off plans to bring students back to classrooms for September, because of a rise in new cases.

Iowa data shows another 817 cases and 13 deaths on its dashboard over a 24-hour period.
