Weekly ‘snapshot’ shows La Crosse up 141 cases — record 39 Sunday — one hospitalization from COVID-19
The La Crosse County Health Department released its weekly snapshot of COVID-19 data Monday.
There were 141 cases over the past week, ending Sunday, which had a single-day record high 39 cases, according to the county. The positivity rate was 15.8 percent. Only one person has been hospitalized due to the virus over the past week.

The case numbers are close to what the state health department shows, except Sunday’s total. Where the county had 39, the state showed La Crosse at 21 cases that day.

As for Monday’s totals, state data shows La Crosse County at five cases, bringing the total now to 1,182 — which doesn’t quite matchup with the county’s totals through Sunday of 1,186.
