La Crosse adds 20 COVID-19 cases, Winona up 35
Another 20 cases of COVID-19 in La Crosse County on Tuesday, according to state data.
La Crosse is now at 1,202 total cases. The county has averaged 17.7 cases the past two weeks, including a single-day high 39 on Sunday.
At 3 p.m. Wednesday, the county’s health department will update its Coulee COVID-19 Collaborative website.
Meanwhile, in Winona County, another 35 cases are reported today by the state health department. Winona County Emergency Management says 14 of those cases were reallocated from other counties.
Winona has had cases in the 30s three of the past six days, averaging 27.2 cases a day.
At 10 a.m. Wednesday, Winona State University will be holding a press conference to “discuss an update on the campus COVID-19 status, reporting, and protocols.” More information and where to watch online can be found here. A recorded version will be viewable, after the press conference is over.
Trempealeau County state data shows another 10 cases, bringing its total to 421. The county’s health department is no longer reporting daily stats.
Adding three cases Tuesday were Monroe (286 total), Vernon (102) and Buffalo (67) counties. No new cases in Houston County (77).

Wisconsin: 75,584 cases, 5,878 hospitalizations, 1,130 deaths
Minnesota: 76,355 cases, 6,520 hospitalizations, 1,823 deaths
Iowa: 65,847 cases, 1,125 deaths
Statewide, Wisconsin reported 981 cases, 61 hospitalizations and eight deaths. It’s the most cases in 10 days and the most hospitalized in 19 days in the state.
Minnesota reported 502 cases, 38 hospitalizations and six deaths.
Iowa data shows 724 cases, nine deaths through Tuesday.
