One case of COVID-19 has been discovered at La Crosse’s State Road Elementary School during the first week of the fall semester.

The school district has sent a letter to families attending State Road, saying the person testing positive for COVID was in the building last week.

The district will notify parents if their child had close contact with the person who has been diagnosed with the virus, and anyone who has been exposed will have to be in quarantine.

For reasons of confidentiality, the school district is not identifying who the person was at State Road Elementary.
