Covid-19 cases “down” to 55 Monday in La Crosse County, hospitalizations up 4

La Crosse County is “down” to 55 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday.

The county total is now 2,622. La Crosse is averaging 114 cases a day the past seven days. Friday, at its peak, that average was 127.

Hospitalizations are at 68 total, up four from Friday.

The county is running a free National Guard testing site until 6 p.m. Monday in the health department parking lot.

Winona County added 10 cases Monday.

The city reports that, of the 100 backlogged cases that dropped Friday, 38 were within the last two weeks.

Trempealeau County added five cases Monday and is up to 536 total.

Wisconsin: 102,498 cases, 6,692 hospitalizations, 1,244 deaths
Minnesota: 90,942 cases, 7,199 hospitalizations, 1,969 deaths
Iowa: 81,006 cases, 1,284 deaths


Statewide, Wisconsin added 1,271 cases Monday. That’s the lowest total in the past seven days, which includes three days over 2,000 cases. There were also 39 more hospitalizations and two deaths reported in the state.

After setting a single-day high Sunday (1,318 cases), Minnesota added 937 Monday, along with 36 more hospitalized and four deaths.

Iowa data shows 596 cases and 19 deaths Monday.
