La Crosse County Health Department director Jen Rombalski has tested positive for COVID-19.

The health department stated Tuesday that Rombalski was exposed by another in her home, who had also tested positive. That person was exposed attending “in-person education.”

Rombalski is recuperating at home. No other staff members at the department were exposed, as a majority of them are working from home.

The health department added that it hoped by sharing the information the community realizes “COVID-19 can happen to anyone and that there is no stigma to being tested, diagnosed, or in speaking candidly to contact tracers. Anyone with COVID-19 symptoms should be tested and follow the guidance provided by their local health department and medical provider. Those who have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 should also monitor symptoms and quarantine themselves for 14 days.”

So like with the president are we going to report that Jen has a BMI clearly over 30 categorizing her as “obese”? Turnabout is fair play. Just a week ago the La Crosse Tribune reported “Trump is clinically obese, and obesity is a risk factor for a more severe form of the illness”.

So Jen due to her irresponsible lifestyle has triple the risk of hospitalization or death. What a brilliant health director.
