La Crosse School district pushes back opening classrooms for 4th time

The School District of La Crosse has delayed teaching in the classroom another week, due to COVID-19 metrics in the area.

Teachers and students will have to virtual learn now through at least Oct. 25.

Originally, the district wanted to open schools Oct. 5. That date has been pushed back four times now by a week, each time.

The distric’s dashboard indicates conditions are improving, but not fast enough for students to be back in two weeks.

The district indicated there were zero COVID-19 cases Sept. 28-Oct. 4. Since, its had a total of 10 cases and 24 close contacts.
