La Crosse adds 19 COVID-19 cases, while Wisconsin remains over 2,500 day

Another 19 cases Sunday of COVID-19 in La Crosse County.

It’s the first time under 20 cases in a day since there were 17 last Sunday. The county has now a total of 3,535 cases.


STATE TOTALS
Wisconsin: 150,236 cases, 8,398 hospitalizations, 1,465 deaths
Minnesota: 112,268 cases, 8,354 hospitalizations, 2,141 deaths
Iowa: 99,942 cases, 1,462 deaths


Statewide, Wisconsin confirmed 2,676 more cases, 79 hospitalizations and seven deaths.

Wisconsin is averaging 2,510 new cases and 107 new hospitalizations a day the past week. Its 18.6% for positive tests the past week is an all-time high average.

The western and northwest Wisconsin regions do have the lowest hospitalizations in the state. There are 33 patients hospitalized in the western region — made up of the seven counties surrounding La Crosse, along with Crawford.

In Minnesota, another 1,450 cases, 52 hospitalizations and 10 deaths Sunday. It’s the fourth-consecutive day over 1,200 cases, averaging 1,217 cases the past week. Active cases in Minnesota remain at a record high — 9,956 as of Sunday’s update.

Iowa added 845 cases, 53 hospitalizations and two deaths the past 24 hours Sunday. There are currently 449 patients hospitalized in Iowa — 109 of those in the ICU, and 39 on ventilators.
