Here are multiple free COVID-19 testing sites in Coulee region through October

A number of free COVID-19 testing sites are available in the Coulee Region to close out October.

The sites are primarily for residents living in the western region of Wisconsin for those aged 5 or over, who are experiencing at least one COVID-19 symptom.

Symptoms can be mild and include: fever, cough, shortness of breath or difficult breathing, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or new loss of taste or smell.

Testing will be done by nasal swab and there is no cost to participate. Also, no insurance or insurance card is necessary.

Test result turnaround time is approximately 3-5 days. Those being tested can register online to reduce wait times by clicking here.

Testing dates and locations for the next week:
Friday – Holmen High School 1001 McHugh Rd 10a.m.-6p.m.
Saturday – West Salem Highway Shop 301 Carlson Rd 9a.m.-5p.m.
Monday – La Crosse Health & Human Services Building 300 4th St. N 10a.m.-6p.m.
Thursday – Viroqua Vernon County Fairgrounds 210 Fairgrounds Rd 10a.m.-6p.m.
Oct. 30 – Holmen High School 1001 McHugh Rd 10a.m.-6p.m.
Oct. 30 – Independence – Trempealeau County Health Care Center Annex Bldg. 23062 Whitehall Rd 9a.m.-5p.m.
Oct. 31 – West Salem Highway Shop 301 Carlson Rd 9a.m.-5p.m.

There are also free testing sites in Winona at Hy-Vee and Winona Mall.

The sites are hosted by the La Crosse County Health Department, the Wisconsin National Guard, and other Western Region Health Departments.
