Hillsboro woman arrested in stabbing incident

The Vernon County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 20-year-old Hillsboro woman for a stabbing incident that happened Nov. 11 around 1:30 a.m.

It happened at a residence on Cty. Rd. W in rural Hillsboro, according to the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies arrived on the scene and took Jenna M. Bell into custody.

A 36-year-old female was transported to Gundersen St. Joseph’s Hospital by ambulance with multiple stab wounds. The victim was later med-flighted by Gundersen AIR to UW Hospital in Madison for further treatment.

The Vernon County District Attorney’s Office sought charges of first-degree attempted homicide and aggravated assault.
