UPDATE: Missing Viroqua teenager has been located and is safe

A missing 14-year-old girl has been located and is safe.

That from the Viroqua County Sheriff’s Department. No other info was released.

The Viroqua and Vernon County community had been asking for help in locating the girl, who was missing since Wednesday.

The case was under investigation with the Viroqua Police Department.

Before she was found, Sheriff Jeff Spears said his office was doing everything possible to help locate the girl and bring her home.

He noted they might begin searching her computer and social media accounts if that has not already been completed by the Viroqua Police Department.

Kaitlyn Riley’s passion for communications started on her family’s dairy farm in Gays Mills, Wis. Wanting to share agriculture’s story, she studied strategic communications and broadcast journalism at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In college, she held officer positions with the Association of Women in Agriculture and Badger Dairy Club while volunteering as a news reporter for the college radio station.
