Cashton school bus loses control in slush, rolls over embankment and onto its side

A Cashton school bus slid off the road Tuesday afternoon, and rolled onto its side.

One child was on the bus at the time, but the student and 46-year-old driver were not injured.

The bus was headed east on Peaceful Valley Road when it lost control in the slush. It then slid backwards, over an embankment, before rolling onto its side.

The Vernon County Sheriff’s Office says it is investigating.
