Packers limit fans to employees, their families for remainder of season
The only fans at Lambeau Field for the rest of the season will be team employees and their families.
The Green Bay Packers made that announcement Tuesday, anticipating the COVID-19 situation getting worse during the holidays, while Green Bay has the fourth-highest rate in NFL cities.
About 500 employees and family members were at the game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
“While our community and state currently are seeing a promising trend in the infection rates, we made the decision, along with our health care and public health partners, to continue hosting only the group of employees and their families,” Packers president and CEO Mark Murphy said in a statement.
