La Crosse investigation uncovers $17,000 in methamphetamine

La Crosse Police took five individuals into custody after discovering methamphetamine, marijuana, and cash in a home.

Drug investigators conducted surveillance at 329 8th St. South Monday. They contacted Otis M. East, 60, as he was leaving the residence and took him into custody for possession of methamphetamine.

After getting a search warrant, five people were taken into custody. During the search, investigators found 405.1 grams of meth, 145 grams of marijuana, and $2,020 of cash. According to police, the amount of methamphetamine if sold in individual doses would be an estimated street value of $17,000.

East was charged with possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and maintaining a drug trafficking place.

Chong Vue, 31, was charged with possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, possession of LSD, possession of ecstasy, and possession of marijuana (second). Vue’s offenses include possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining a drug trafficking place, and a probation hold.

Baily J. Hedum, 22, was charged with possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, maintaining a drug trafficking place, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of LSD, possession of ecstasy, and possession of marijuana (second). A listed offense is bail jumping.

Julia L. Hedum, 42, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, bail jumping, and a probation hold.

Dustin A. Winchester, 22, was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
