La Crosse County up to 55 COVID-19 deaths, 56 new cases

A 55th COVID-19 death, and 56 new cases Sunday in La Crosse County.

Its the ninth death of a county resident in the past two weeks and the 17th in December.

The county also added 56 cases Sunday, and is now averaging 41.6 cases a day the past week. The average count dropped by seven, as DHS reported negative-one cases in La Crosse County on Saturday.

Wisconsin added 2,287 cases, 95 hospitalizations and nine deaths Sunday.

Minnesota, reporting two days worth of stats, after the Christmas holiday, added 2,534 cases, 102 hospitalizations and 40 deaths.

Iowa’s data shows 499 cases, 82 hospitalizations and one death Sunday.
