Winona, Houston report COVID-19 deaths, La Crosse adds two cases

Winona and Houston counties each report COVID-19 deaths Saturday, while La Crosse adds just two cases.

The deaths are Winona’s 44th and Houston’s 13th overall. Winona has had 13 deaths in the past month, while Houston has suffered seven in the past 15 days.

As for La Crosse County, the holiday weekend has put the case numbers in flux the past two Saturdays. There was negative-one cases last Saturday.

Regardless, La Crosse is averaging 55.0 cases a day the past week. A month ago, the week’s average was 85 cases a day.

Statewide, Wisconsin added 1078 cases, 49 hospitalizations and one death Saturday.

Minnesota had 2,543 cases, 236 hospitalizations and 54 deaths Saturday, after not reporting data the past two days.

Winona added 42 cases, Houston 27 and Fillmore 19 over the past two days.

Iowa added 918 cases, 66 hospitalizations and 48 deaths.
