La Crosse daily COVID-19 case average up 5 from week ago
Down to 26 cases of COVID-19 in La Crosse County, as per usual lower numbers on Sunday.
It’s the lowest total since Jan. 1 (33 cases). Case numbers should come into better focus the further from the holiday weekends we get.
A better gauge of the virus is the daily average over the past seven days. In La Crosse County, that average is 69.7 cases a day. Last week, that average was 64.

WISCONSIN
CASES — NOW: 2,908, LAST WEEK: 2,245
HOSPITALIZATIONS — NOW: 121, LAST WEEK: 100
DEATHS — NOW: 40, LAST WEEK: 26
MINNESOTA
CASES — NOW: 2,307, LAST WEEK: 1,555
HOSPITALIZATIONS — NOW: 195, LAST WEEK: 111
DEATHS — NOW: 40, LAST WEEK: 28
IOWA
CASES — NOW: 1,709, LAST WEEK: 1,345
HOSPITALIZATIONS — NOW: 90, LAST WEEK: 79
DEATHS — NOW: 27, LAST WEEK: 29
Statewide, the numbers in Wisconsin and Iowa are low Sunday, but averages are up in all three states from a week ago.
Wisconsin added 1,832 cases, 52 hospitalizations and two deaths Sunday.
Minnesota added 2,165 cases, 94 hospitalizations and 44 deaths.
Iowa added 507 cases, 74 hospitalizations and 11 deaths.
