No new hospitalizations or deaths Tuesday of La Crosse County residents due to COVID-19.

The county did add 42 cases, and is now averaging 62.6 a day over the past week. Last week, that average was 76.

In surrounding counties, no deaths reported Tuesday. Here’s a look at new cases, the average the past week, total and active cases, as well as current hospitalizations:

Statewide, Wisconsin added 2,790 cases, 149 hospitalizations and 49 deaths. The cases is about average with the past week but deaths and hospitalizations are up. Like Sunday-Monday stats being lower, however, Tuesday stats seem to be a bit of catch up on reporting.

It’s also still hard to gauge where stats are trending still close to the holiday, where reporting was inconsistent.

That goes for Minnesota, as well. Minnesota on Tuesday added 1,335 cases, 116 hospitalizations and 13 deaths.

Iowa added 1,485 cases, 82 hospitalizations and 83 deaths. The state continues to report deaths on an every-other-day basis. One day there will be around 10 and the next a huge jump. Yesterday’s death county was one. That’s been happening for two weeks.
