LISTEN: Haphazardly breaking down the 10 La Crosse parking proposals
Started Tuesday’s La Crosse Talk PM discussing the Republican-controlled Wisconsin state Legislature, again, gaveling in and immediately out of a special session — this time on updating the state’s unemployment system. We’ve officially gone nine months, five days since last passing a bill in the state — during a global pandemic.
It’s the third time Republicans have refused to even discuss proposals in a legislative session. The other two were on gun reform and policing rules.
After that, and some talk on Minnesota’s vaccine site crashing Tuesday, broke down — in no scientific way — the Police Parking Utility’s 10 proposals presented to La Crosse’s Board of Public Works on Tuesday. Read more about those proposals by clicking here.
It was entertaining at one point, because in between each proposal, someone would call in about some story on brainwashing or de-brainwashing (de-platforming) Donald Trump supporters. So there was a steady musical chairs on parking and de-platforming.
