La Crosse County reports 24 COVID-19 cases; daily average down 15 from a week ago

No new hospitalizations, 24 cases of COVID-19 in La Crosse County on Friday.  

La Crosse is now averaging 36.7 cases a day over the past week. Last week, that average was 52.

In surrounding counties, Fillmore reported its sixth death — four of those in the past 12 days but all coming since Dec. 30.

Here’s a look at new cases, the average the past week, total and active cases, as well as current hospitalizations in surrounding counties for Friday:

Statewide, cases and hospitalization averages are trending down in both Wisconsin and Minnesota. Deaths, however, are higher.
