K.C. Cayo announces write-in campaign for District 9 on La Crosse’s city council

Seven seats on the ballot for La Crosse city council in April’s election, but one of those only has one candidate.

Saturday, however, K.C. Cayo announced they would be running a write-in campaign for District 9.

Some of the issues Cayo said they would focus on included, “creating a Tenants Bill of Rights, reallocating the police budget and creating legislation around the Housing First initiative.”

Cayo is a UW-La Crosse student, originally from Milwaukee.
