A Hillsboro man died after being severely hurt in an ATV accident Monday afternoon.

The Vernon County Sheriff’s Office said Adam Hemmersbach, 36, lost control of his ATV while driving east on County Hwy F around 1:20 p.m. He tried to regain control but was ejected off the ATV.

Hemmersbach was transported to Gundersen Health St. Joseph by Hillsboro Ambulance with severe injuries. He was then flown by Gundersen-Air to Gundersen Health.

The Sheriff’s Office says the family set up a gofundme for Hemmersbach. That page said he was on his way into town to help plow snow for people. He leaves behind a wife and six children.
