Viterbo and St. Mary’s form credit-swapping arrangement

A new partnership has been announced between two well-known Catholic colleges in the La Crosse area. 

St. Mary’s of Winona and Viterbo of La Crosse have agreed to accept some credits from each other’s classes toward certain degrees. 

The exchanges are mostly in business-oriented programs.  The presidents of Viterbo and St. Mary’s will sign the partnership agreement in a ceremony later this month. 

Under the agreement, St. Mary’s will accept credits from certain Viterbo classes toward a couple of masters’ degrees, while Viterbo will allow a bachelor of arts degree from St. Mary’s to be used as credit toward a master’s on the La Crosse campus. 

The partnership will take effect in the fall semester. 

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. He regularly covers local courts and city and county government. Brad produces the features "Yesterday in La Crosse" and "What's Buried on Brad's Desk." He also writes the website "Triviazoids," which finds odd connections between events that happen on a certain date, and he writes and performs with the local comedy group Heart of La Crosse. Brad been featured on several national TV programs because of his memory skills.
