Sparta driver killed in I-90 rollover crash

A woman from Sparta has been killed after being thrown from her SUV in a rollover crash on the interstate. 

Just after 5:30 Friday morning, a Chevy Tahoe went out of control in the eastbound lane of I-90 near Tomah and rolled into the median. 

The 35-year-old woman driving the Tahoe was thrown out of the vehicle and landed in the westbound lane of the highway, where she was hit by a car. 

The car’s driver, a 24-year-old man from Tomah, was injured.  

Names of the drivers had not been released by early Friday afternoon.

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area.
