Outdoor cafe rules may be extended in La Crosse
The outdoor cafe concept in La Crosse may last a few more months.
During its March meetings, the city council will be asked to extend the program for outdoor dining downtown into November, because of the continuing pandemic.
The program for sidewalk dining was approved originally last summer, as a way to attract more restaurant and bar customers while maintaining social distancing rules.
The program was originally supposed to expire on March 20th, but a proposal coming to the council calls for outdoor dining to continue until November 12th.
The council also could decide to keep it going past that date.
