La Crosse Fire Department investigates fire damage in Rose St. home

Fire officials found no flames, but heavy smoke and moderate fire damage at a single-family home on Rose St. Saturday.

The La Crosse Fire Department was called around 12:15 p.m. for a possible fire that happened at 315 Rose St.

The first arriving unit said the fire happened inside the structure but had been out for some time. The tenants said they were not home for an extended period of time before finding the fire. No injuries were reported.

The incident is currently under investigation.
