“You can run, but you can’t hide.”

That’s one of the alleged threats traced to a La Crosse County woman, being accused of intimidating a witness to a crime.

Lori Anne Holton of West Salem was arrested this week for intimidation and bail-jumping.

Holton has been in court recently to face multiple charges for allegedly keeping one man prisoner in a house for several weeks in 2020, and threatening to torture or kill him if he tried to leave.

A new complaint says Holton left threatening phone messages for a second man who is currently confined to a wheelchair.  That victim is a witness in a previous case involving Holton.

The man who received the calls told police he’s afraid that Holton might try to throw a brick through his window, or set his house on fire.
