An argument in a La Crosse bar led to gunfire this past weekend.  Nobody was hurt, but the Onalaska man accused of firing a handgun outside the Arterial Tavern is now in jail.

Police say 32-year-old Taylor Johnson reportedly showed the gun to other men inside the bar early on Sunday.

Security video showed Johnson firing several shots in the bar parking lot, either aiming across 16th Street or into the air.

He rode away as a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped by police, and he was found to be legally drunk.  The gun was found in that vehicle.

Johnson’s bond has been set at $1000 cash, and he’s been ordered to stay away from firearms, and from the tavern.
