Investment deal brings change in leadership at City Brewery
La Crosse’s City Brewery has announced a management change, at the same time as an investment deal to help the company grow.
Ross Sannes will become the CEO of the local brewery upon the completion of a deal with three other companies: Charlesbank Capital Partners, Oaktree Capital Management, and Blue Ribbon Partners. That transaction may be completed in April.
Sannes has been the operating officer of City Brewery, and joined the company nine years ago.
He’ll succeed local attorney George Parke, who is retiring as the brewery’s chief executive.
City Brewery says it is also acquiring the Irwindale brewery in California from Pabst.
City Brewery was formed shortly after the local closing of the G. Heileman Brewery in 1999.
