Single-digit case streak ends at five in La Crosse, which now has 16% of its residents fully inoculated
The streak of single-digit cases in La Crosse County came to an end Wednesday.
Ten cases were reported by the state, bringing the average to 7.7 a day over the past week. The county had gone five consecutive days with single-digit cases, which hasn’t happened since early June. At that point, La Crosse hadn’t even had a day with double-digit cases.
La Crosse hit 16 percent (18,882) of its residents getting fully inoculated, while 25.9 percent (30,596) have gotten the first shot.
Statewide, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa are fairly close in percentage of their populations being fully inoculated, while Iowa has a higher percentage having gotten the first shot.
