La Crosse averaging 6.3 COVID cases per day, 18.6% residents fully inoculated
La Crosse County is nearing 30 percent of residents having gotten the first COVID-19 vaccine shot.
The county has 18.6 percent (21,048) of its population fully inoculated, while 28.8 percent (34,015) has the first shot.
Statewide, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa are right around 15-16 percent fully inoculated. Here’s how the states compare:

Over the weekend, La Crosse added 12 cases Saturday and four Sunday. It is now averaging 6.3 cases a day over the past week.
Wisconsin has dipped to 399.1 cases per day over the past week, Iowa is at 447.3, while Minnesota is at 1,128.7.
The death toll average in all three states is around 5-6 per day the past week. Hospitalizations are fairly similar, too — 33.1 for Iowa, 44.4 for Wisconsin and 53.1 a day in Minnesota.
