Over 30% of La Crosse have gotten 1st COVID shot

Vaccinations in La Crosse County hit 30.3 percent for residents getting the first shot.

Residents who are fully vaccinated hit 19.3 percent Thursday.

Over the past week, the county is averaging 731 people a day getting the first shot. A week ago, that average was 513.

Getting the second shot, La Crosse is and 554 a day over the past week, which is about 180 more a day from a week ago.

La Crosse is a bit ahead of the statewide numbers, where 26.3 percent of Wisconsin residents have gotten the first shot and 15.3 percent are fully inoculated.

That’s the same percentage as Minnesota (15.3), while Iowa is at 16.2 percent having gotten fully vaccinated.

Case wise, La Crosse County is averaging 7.1 per day over the past week. Just a tick down from a week ago, when it was 7.7 a day.
